Make money from home with Amway
82So a couple of months ago a buddy of mine calls me up and says he has a great opportunity for me to make some extra cash. After taking a quick look at my Army pay stub I invite him to come on over and share the wealth. He gets to my house and pulls out a big binder that contains all the information needed to convince me of the wonderful earning potential of becoming an Independent Business Owner (IBO) with Amway.
So here is the basic plan. I sign up which costs me money. (I will say that the start up cost is well under $200 and includes a welcome kit that is very helpful, and a product trial kit so that I can try out just a few of the hundreds of things sold on my future store.) Once I am signed up I can make a very limited amount of changes on my webstore as it is actually just the Amway site. I can choose which type of products to showcase, where I want the Amway logo, the name of my store, and a welcome message and bio if I want to display them. Thats it, I am all signed up, online, and open for business!
Now it's time for the important stuff. The way to make money. First off you are expected to use Amway products in place of some of the things you normally buy locally. You are your first customer. Now you pay the IBO price for everything you buy. This is a big difference on some products, but very little difference on others. Now you need to find some customers. In my experience so far this is a face to face process. I wasted money on some online advertising through GoogleAdwords that did nothing for me. Note about Google Adwords; this is a great advertising service and I recieved an amazing amount of clicks on my site in a very short time, but unfortunately no registered customers. As I said before this is going to be a face to face business as far as getting loyal customers. Now once you get customers to start buying your products there are two ways to make money. The first way is your instant cash. The difference between the IBO cost and the retail cost that your customers pay is all yours. If a customer buys a product for $20 and the IBO cost is $17 you just made $3. Now you also generate business volume in the form of points. The more points you earn in a month the higher your bonus percentage will be. Now the points are where you can make some real money, but don't expect to be an overnight millioniare.
Now for the real way to start bumping up your monthly point totals. Find some friends that would be interested in becoming IBOs. The more people you sign up the better for you. Points roll uphill in this business. They important thing to remember is that you cannot screw your friends out of their money. You only get the points they dont get paid for in their monthly bonus. This is where it all gets a little complicated, at least for a simple mind like mine. There are local meetings that you can attend to learn the entire business plan in about an hour. I would suggest though that you contact an IBO. When you sign up you will be placed under the IBO who referred you and he will be known as your sponsor and part of your upline. Your upline is a list of people who have been doing this for awhile and are full of information to help you grow your business. Use your upline!
There are many reasons people get involved with Amway. Most want to make a million dollars and retire. I was interested because my wife has been a stay at home mom for many years and was looking for a hobby now that our kids are becoming more self-sufficient(know it all teenagers!). My wife has done very well at this as she is a very outgoing person and has the ability to talk to complete strangers at any time or place. I told my wife when we started this that however she did I would be happy. So you all know, as an IBO I recieve 15% of my AT$T monthly bill which due to the previously mentioned teenage children is quite large.Just by this discount It is worth being an IBO for me. Amway is also partnered with hundreds of big name stores like Best Buy, Dick's Sporting, Bass Pro Shops, Disney Store, hotel chains, car rental agencies. and more. Your customers get special discounts and offers at these stores by going through your site. You get points from them shopping at those stores. Win-Win situation. There are also special IBO only offers from many of these stores.
In the end it comes down to how much time and effort you are willing to put into your business. The harder you work, the more you can make. You can also just sit back and enjoy the discounts if you use them. There is a lot more to this plan than I have explained here. I just wanted to give a brief overview of what I have found out so far. This is not for everyone! Make informed decisions, and do what is right by you and your family. I will always be happy to answer any questions that you might have, and yes I am always willing to sign you up if it interests you because it would help me grow my business. Hope this has been of interest, and maybe even helps you out a little.
